Dear Alumni,

        Happy New Year!  We are pleased to announce the 2nd year of the Alumni Scholarship Fund and ask for your support!  Last year, we were fortunate to raise $500 for the first scholarship in just a couple of months.  The scholarship was awarded to Julie-Ann Manuel who is now Vice-President of our chapter!  We hope to continue this scholarship award this year and years to come as the financial need is greater than ever. 

         The Alumni Association was established to bring together alumni of the sorority, provide mentorship and support to the actives and establish an ongoing scholarship fund.  The Alumni Association only meets once a year, requires no membership dues and all donations are 100% directed for the benefit of its programs. 

         We hope you will join us and donate to the Alumni Scholarship Fund.  If you wish to make a donation, please send a check or cashier’s check payable to the "Sigma Phi Omega Alumni Association" to: Patricia Garcia, Treasurer, Sigma Phi Omega Alumni Association, 10683 Heather Ridge Drive, San Diego, CA  92130.

          The Alumni Association requests that each alumni make a donation of $25 towards this fund, but of course, we will happily accept ANY amount.  If you wish to designate your donation for this year's award, please send your donation to the alumni association no later than March 31, 2009.
